The Rooftop Restaurant
The view from the Rooftop Restaurant at the Akotika Hotel is exceptional. The Rooftop overlooks Haifa, its bay and the Mediterranean Sea as far as the eye can see.
Breakfast at Akotika conveys the story of the city of Akko, and our story, as well. The ancient fishing town captivated us with its charm, its many flavors, the smell of the sea and the market, its multitude of colors and sights, a feast for the senses. Centuries of port-city-life have left their mark here, creating a fishermen’s town cuisine with influences from all over the Mediterranean. The new breakfast at Akotika, is served as a rich buffet on the Rooftop, to which you will have to climb 46 steps. The ascent is worth every effort. At the summit is a breathtaking view – a rich buffet facing the blue sea. After a few minutes and a few deep breaths facing the endless blue, you will find, among other things:
wild spinach pastries [Fatayer], salty cheese and Za’atar [hyssop] pastries, fresh Akko Hummus, Labaneh and Tehini, Hamara [pomegranate spread] and pepper spread, Mtabal [roasted eggplant and tahini salad] and olives. And our local sweets – Basbousa, Sahleb, Atayef and Malabi, of course. And to this we added a few of our favorites – granola on whipped mascarpone, sourdough breads, fresh vegetables, homemade cured Salmon, a selection of quality cheeses, wonderful coffee and of course, a rich egg menu – omelets, Eg’e and Shakshuka. Everything is freshly baked and prepared with love in the kitchen at Akotika.
